This is a very nice trail. It's a little tricky to find the start from the Viking Creek View Point Trail, but after that it is marked extremely well and mostly clear of dead-fall. The trail is steep and there are a few parts where you need to use your hands to climb. The views from the top were impressive: Alouette lake to the east, and Blanshard, and Alouette mountains to the west. There were plenty of flies on the top, which made eating lunch and enjoying the views more difficult. Bug-spray would have proved very helpful. It took us about 3 hours to get to the top and about 2 to get down.
I'm not too sure how easy it would be to get to Alouette. I wanted to do a loop and return through Evans Creek trail, but it seemed very steep on all sides going down from the Evans peak.

It might be also an interesting approach to Alouette Mountain.

Thanks for your comment Ahmed. It was fun, and not so different in stats than the grind with way fewer people.

It looks very fun to do. I get to check it out one day. Thanks for sharing.
