This is a new way that I wanted to explore to Alouette Mountain. It cuts the distance to less than 11Km which is half the distance of the traditional trail. However, it includes heavy bushwacking, tricky and sketchy terrain, scrambling, and routefinding.

I followed in the beginning Evans trail to the ridge. The trail is steep and provides little back to the effort. However, Evans Peak might be a worthwhile destination but I didn't go there. I headed towards Alouette instead once I got to the ridge. There is no trail. Bushwhacking for 1Km. The most difficult section is the bushwack scrambling between 1180m and 1280m. Tricky routefinding as the bushes are thick and hard to see where you are stepping on. There are hidden cliffs which make this route sketchy.

Total time for this trip was 7 hours.
