I had really wanted to do this hike after seeing pictures from other people's trips, so I grasped the opportunity when Ahmad posted a call-out. Finding where to turn away from the logging road wasn’t obvious, but we didn’t have much trouble thanks to Ahmad’s excellent navigation skills.

The hike up Zupjok involved quite a bit of bushwacking but provided fast access to the peak, and for the rest of the hike we enjoyed traveling along the ridge. High clouds protected us from excessive sun while still allowing for the views. They dissipated during our way back from Alpaca, and we were rewarded with patches of blue sky for a brighter picture. Packed snow was perfect for glissading either on feet or bums and we had lots of fun. Thanks for organizing this Wanderung trip Ahmad!

The hike up Zupjok is steep and bushy but thankfully short.
