We hiked straight up along ski runs from parking lot #6 to the Rendezvous lodge; a ski map was quite useful. With the new Peak-2-Peak gondola, this part of the trail can now be omitted. After hiking up to the top of the 7th Heaven chairlift to get to the ridge, we followed Matt Gunn's directions. Scrambling along the beautiful black rock ridge was very enjoyable. There were routes of various difficulty to suite those with different experience; we came across a couple of moderately exposed and tricky sections. The views were breathtaking. Four of us summited after a 6-hour ascent. We descended via Blackcomb-Spearhead col, Disease pass, and Blackcomb Lake, taking 3.5 hours to get back to the parking lot. This was a Wanderung hike organized by Ahmad.
