This is a coastal hike at the Westernest Point of the USA!
We managed to escape the worst of the downpour rain and strong wind to enjoy this hike. The two parts in the forest, from Ozette Lake to Cape Alava and back from Sand Point are slippery board walks in very green vegetation. The walk along the coast was very tricky too as I forgot to check the tides and we did it at high tide. It was a lot of work to walk through meters of algae of multitude colors (extremely slippery!), round pebbles, wet logs, while avoiding the coming waves and trying to keep the whole body dry. Somehow it was a lot of fun too as I'm not used to that kind of hike :-)
A group of Pelican came close to shore and it was neat to watch them fish while we had our lunch break!
There is supposed to be some petroglyphs on rocks near Cape Alava, but we missed them :-(

But somehow, we manage to start without any rain. The trail consisted of a long slippery board walk in the forest
