It was quite different than Hollyburn. Red flushing lights at the bottom and a clear sign for extreme winter driving. And indeed the drive was harder. I had to drive on low gear on the turns and some other sections. There also much more people than Cypress. The parking was almost full and I was there at 3:30pm. Many people where tobogganing including many families. There was also a good number of skiers. The snow conditions was good for skiing.
It was also more white-out and there was blizzard but it didn't seem that it deterred people. On the way up, I met another person that I know another one from Wanderung. It seems many of them were out there today.
I got to the base of the peak at 4:40pm. The snow was very soft and I couldn't climb it. I had to make a quite big loop to reach the gentle slope and half way I turned back. The visibility was getting worse quickly and my progress was slower breaking into the snow. 5:10pm is almost total darkness. The snow was like ball bearings or sand. Hopefully it will stabilize.
No winter markers yet. I followed the ski runs first and then merged with the Summer trail.
