Wow - so little snow! Nothing until about 1200 m (just before "bench corner"), and then hard-packed snow about 30-50 cm deep for the rest of the way to the summit. Yaktrax may help if you're not very sure-footed, but the trail was easy enough with boots. The summit area is bare rock.
A beautiful sunny day, and plenty of people out hiking this trail, including a few families. Quite muddy in places so boots and gaiters are a good idea. At one point there were 6 whisky jacks at the summit on the lookout for food. Guard yours carefully as you never know which direction the attack will come from! :-)
Great views of the Lions, Sky Pilot and Garibaldi, plus Mt Baker from a clearing along the way. The bench at one of the switchbacks is a nice place to sit and have lunch with its view of Crown Mountain.
