Seymour was on full swing. Huge lineup for skiing. It was reported that Seymour received 40cm of fresh snow over the last two days.

The winter posts are fixed on the route till about 1/2 way just before Brockten point. The trail is fairly well broken and more people were coming up so I guess it was getting more defined but there are few off trail tracks which can get confusing if you are not familiar with the area. There was also a section that goes on Summer trail which is fairly steep.

No posts for avalanche risk. The trail seemed fine with me but it is very possible on steeper and longer slopes on off-trail areas. The snow was heavy and not bonded.

The car drive was generally fine but it was still a challenge with all-season tires. I used low gears on all the sharp turns. Snow on road started at 800m elevation at the first sharp u-turn. The parking was mostly covered by snow.

I also saw a new snowboard that can be detached into two halves from the center. They work like skis when they are detached and snowboard when they are attached. Perhaps a crampons and it can also be snowshoes.

This is was a Wanderung trip that I organized.
