A gorgeous trail on any clear day. Snow is thin in just a few patches close to the parking lot, but after that the snow was in good shape. I used crampons and didn't bother to take my snowshoes out of my pack.
The winter trail marked with bamboo poles does not always follow the shortest route between two points. This is for a good reason: avoiding avalanche paths.
