Trail was great, no snow on the peak, good for January. Trail is well maintained, lake near the top was a nice place for a rest stop, could be a bit better marked in that area and we had to do some exploring to re-find the trail, but the rest was straightforward. Definitely want a truck or SUV with good clearance as there are some massive trenches and ramps to drive over, fairly easy on dry ground but wouldn't want to do it if it was raining. Hike is fairly easy going most of the way, with some great rest spots and a very rewarding scenic view from the top. The hike took 3-5 hours and was of moderate difficulty. I did it with a group of two friends who are experienced weekend hikers and one novice hiker who has never climbed a mountain before, we did it without too much difficulty, everyone got a good workout of it, fully recommend this hike for the novice/intermediate dayhiker.
