Four of us on pretty standard fast paced hike up Evan's... see my previous posts for details re: trail beta and what to expect... I will say that we were moving very fast and were made the peak within 2.5 hours…

We did however have a very unique experience... a black stunt biplane flew past us when we were lounging on the peak but it was at a fair distance flying along Alouette Lake then over behind Edge Mountain.... but, on its return trip, it just barely cut over Edge came pretty much straight at us... he was flying about 50-100 m above us along the north side of Evan's circling the peak and coming back very close on his second pass curving around us so hard that the wings were perpendicular to the ground... very cool experience. I regret not capturing it on video.
Side Note about GPX Track: I took everyone on a slight detour over to the small lake on the ridge that takes you over to the base of the final steep scrambly area to the peak.
Have fun out there and who knows maybe I will see you on the trails!
