Perhaps my favourite location in the Garibaldi Lake area, Panorama Ridge is well named. We were last here a couple of years ago and it was cloudy so today's limitless views justified our return. It was a great day for filling our camera's memory card :-)
The view back towards Black Tusk is, to my mind, one of the best sights you can see anywhere in the Lower Mainland. It is spectacular, especially so with the autumnal colours in the meadows.
Not much to say about the trail - it's a highway for most of it and once onto the rocks, it's well-marked with small posts complete with reflectors. There is one patch of icy snow that caused a few problems for people without suitable footwear and those nervous about crossing snow but it is quite short and if you take it slowly it's not a problem. I doubt you'd go far if you slipped, and even then the runout is not bad.
