High Divide / Seven Lakes Basin Loop (from Sol Duc Campground)

Went clockwise over two beautiful days, veering off the loop to camp at Hoh Lake. My phone tracked 19km the first day, 18km the second day (without any additional sidetrips), which is longer than the internet says it is and definitely felt like it.
The park website says there is a bear wire at Hoh Lake--this is no longer operational and you will need a bear cannister. There was only one other camper at Hoh Lake so this is perhaps a good option for last-minute people, plus swimming in the beautiful Hoh Lake and seeing it from above made the extra few kilometers worth it. It was BUGGY, though (I heard it's buggy everywhere in the alpine there), so doing it in two days was perhaps smart--who wants to sit around slapping mosquitos all afternoon?
Flowers were amazing, views are awesome (although it took a long time to get up into the alpine--about half of the first day). Didn't see any animals but also didn't look too hard. Quite a few people. Make sure to read the information about mountain goats. Only a tiny bit of snow on the trail left. In one short section the trail has been covered by a rockslide but going clockwise at least it was very clear where it picked up.
Definitely do-able as a weekend trip from Victoria if you are fit and determined (we camped at Sol Duc the night before), and can be capped off by a visit to the Sol Duc hotsprings before driving back to Port Angeles.
