A lesser known trail leaving from the main Seymour parking lot, out via the Perimeter Trail, then shortly after the muddy section a right turn onto the Dead End trail, which really isn't dead end at all, silly Seymour.
The trail is obvious and well worn, and there are big diamond markers on the tall, old trees. However, there are quite a few trees down, and the trail is getting bushy. I got very wet today from the dewy blueberry bushes.
After going up for some time there is a fork with writing on the flagging tape- towards the right for de Pencier Bluffs, and to the left for Brockton Pt, Mystery Lake and eventually, the parking lot. I made a loop out of my trip using this junction. I had the bluffs all to myself, could see lots of people across the valley on the main Seymour trail.
This is worth checking out as a short autumn trip, to try something different at Seymour. Having recently walked the Suicide Bluffs trail, comparing it to this one I preferred the former, trail in better shape and more viewpoints, but still would return to de Pencier. Complete loop was just about 3 hours at a leisurely pace.
