3 of us hiked to Indian Racetrack, and continued to Red Mountain Lookout. The last few minutes were on a road. The lookout is now shut, but it's supposed to be manned. Only managed to see Mt Adams. Too cloudy. Supposed to see Hood and St Helens.
After returning to the trail junction, we continued north to PCT and then south on PCT to Green Lake. A very small and shallow pond. I saw a single tent site up the slope.
Huckleberry leaves are very red, maple is still turning color. Almost no berries.
