Did the Sumas Mountain hike on a partly cloudy Saturday morning. We parked at Upper Sumas Mountain Road, right at Centennial Trailhead. After the first 45 mins, you will reach a gravel road, within 40m the trail to Chadsey Lake is on your left with a small wooden direction sign , following this trail will take you to the summit. This is a very enjoyable hike, most of the trail is hidden in an old growth shady fern forest, trail condition is good, very clear orange markers & ribbons along the way, some wet and very muddy area, need some steep climbs but no technical required. We finished 13.44 km in 6 hours 20 mins which included water breaks, lunch & photo taking. I rated 3 star to this trail mostly because the view from eastern viewpoint summit is a bit disappointed with all these overgrowth trees that obstacle the beautiful view.
