We checked this trail out on the same day as the Sugarloaf trail. The hike we did is what is described in Craig Romano's Day Hiking: North Cascades. The parking for this trail is actually in the middle of the loop, with Rosario Head to the North, and Lottie Bay and Lighthouse Point to the South. Lots of amazing ocean views framed by Arbutus trees and windswept fir trees all along the trails. There was a wind warning in nearby Anacortes, and it was hard not being lifted away by the wind while out on Rosario Head. Lots of cormorants out on a few of the rocks off of the mainland. Nice area to explore, especially if you are already in the area.
