About 4 miles RT road walk to the radio station. You are not allowed to walk off road, to protect some rare species of plants.

We then walked west on the flat ridge for about a mile to leave all the towers behind us.
Great view of all the peaks around, north: Helens, Adams, Rainier; south: Hood, Jefferson, 3 Sisters.
Current condition: balsamroot is peaking in the ranch. Upper reach has more paintbrushes and phlox. Lupine is only blooming in the lower half.
