Four of us out to peak Tszil in 3 seasons of weather plus getting pelted by snow pellets and a completely socked in on the peak.
You need the full gambit of gear with current conditions... micro-spikes for the hard packed trail to the third lake... snowshoes to get you up to the end of the moraine and then crampons, ice ax to the peak.
If you look very closely at the photos you will see 4 tiny specs, a small group of adventurous skiers below and to the right of the seracs of the Joffre/Matier glacier.
