Current condition: fall color is at its end. Still quite pretty.
I camped at Paradise Park.
Instead of back track, I loop up to Mississippi Head and top of Zigzag Canyon, before dropping down to Palmer Lift and back to the lodge. All off-trail, scramble. Lots of of rock and scree. Nothing dangerous. But you need to have GPS map in order to navigate. The last part: from top of Zigzag Canyon down to the lodge isn't pretty, because of all rocks. No snow left.
